About

Behavioral maritime intelligence, built for decisions that need evidence

HUAX helps insurers, brokers, compliance teams, investigators, and maritime operators read vessel behavior as structured evidence, not surface-level tracking.

A glass-box approach to maritime risk. Outputs tie back to observable signals, baseline comparisons, and a reviewable evidentiary chain.

What HUAX is and why it exists

What HUAX is

HUAX is a maritime behavioral intelligence platform built to surface patterns that conventional identity-based screening often misses.

We analyze AIS-derived vessel behavior to support earlier, more defensible assessments in sanctions-sensitive and operationally complex settings.

Why HUAX exists

Most maritime risk tools tell you a vessel is flagged. HUAX is built to explain why.

Some of the most important signals in shipping sit not in lists or registries alone, but in behavior: where vessels go, how they move, how their physical state changes, and where observed activity diverges from declared identity.

In maritime risk and compliance work, the difference between a flagged signal and an explainable one matters. We separate what is confirmed, what is probable, and what remains under review.

Black-box systems tell you what to think. Glass-box systems show you what happened.

Why our approach is different

Glass-box, in practice

  1. 01 · Behavior

    Behavior before narrative.

Signals come from what vessels do, not from how they introduce themselves. We separate observed behavior from declared identity, and treat the gap as a signal in itself.

  2. 02 · Triggers

    Signals tied to trigger logic.

Every alert has an explicit reason. The fix, the comparator and the deviation are visible to the analyst, exportable for review and defensible in a case file.

  3. 03 · Baselines

    Baselines, not isolated anomalies.

We compare each vessel against its peer group by class, region and season. A flag without a comparator is opinion. A flag with one is evidence.

  4. 04 · Chains

    Evidence chains built for review.

Outputs are designed to be re-read by compliance teams, insurers, investigators, regulators, and legal reviewers. Traceable, timestamped, exportable.
